Then the selection criteria favored locally owned and operated restaurants that have at least one outstanding feature. No "chairs" were accepted. There is no advertising nor endorsements. Hundreds of restaurants are presented in six segments representing Indiana's tourism regions. Each segment opens with an overview on the visitor attractions in and near the communities where the restaurants are listed. Some of those were selected because of unique characteristics.
