There are 3 key components to your brand. They are what I call the "3 W's".
1. WHO - your target market or who you are trying to attract.
2. WHAT - the specific problem you help your target market solve, and the results you help them achieve.
1. and 2. combined are your niche definition. You have to get really clear on your niche if you are going to create a successful brand.
Many entrepreneurs struggle with finding their niche, but it's the foundation of your business success. Finding your niche is based on much more than keyword research. It involves tapping into your passions, skills, experiences and interests. It means understanding the challenges and needs of your target market. And it requires researching your niche to make sure you have clarity and focus.
3. WHY - the third part of your personal brand is your WHY and it includes:
Why you do what you do; and
Why people should work with you.
This is your opportunity to share your personal story and your passion for what you do. It is your chance to put a memorable face on your business. Branding is much more than a logo or tag line. It is the heart and soul of your business.
Take the time to identify your ideal niche, and from there create a personal brand that is authentic to who you are.
